This position generally requires a person to work in a fast-paced automated manufacturing environment with a primary focus on maximizing area and tool efficiency. This individual will utilize available resources and tools to recognize and correct potential capacity constraints. They must be able to monitor various applications for consistency while seeking viable solutions to effectively resolve efficiency issues. Technical tasks will vary from area to area including monitoring and responding to Statistical Process Control (SPC), responding to failed tool qualifications, engineering requests, Special Work Requests (SWR), disposition lots, troubleshoots basic tool errors and other similar responsibilities.


Responsibilities and Tasks


Environmental Health, Safety and Security     

Follow all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations

Report all EHSS-related concerns or problems immediately to the appropriate individual (Emergency Response Team (ERT), Supervisor, etc.)

Be proactive in reducing incidents of personal injuries, safety hazards or chemical spills

Maintains safety knowledge, stay apprised of procedure changes and keeps current on annual safety requirements

Responsible for keeping the workplace clean and free of clutter and general trash


Monitor Equipment Performance and Area Efficiency  

Follow procedures while using applications to monitor equipment and maximize efficiency

Utilizes available resources and tools to recognize potential capacity constraints

Verifies that tool qualifications have successfully completed and restart any qualifications that have failed

Understands and utilizes area specific applications and procedures for troubleshooting basic area issues

 Monitors and adequately responds to DTS cases for area to ensure product quality

Monitors and releases area holds as per procedure

Follows SWR instructions to process SWR’s

Escalates SWR related issues or concerns to engineering or SWR owner

Monitor SPC Charts

Responsible for monitoring and responding to SPC charts

Reviews pertinent charts to ensure processes are within the defined limits

Writes Quality Deviation reports per procedures

Reviews tool qualification data to ensure integrity of tool before released to production


Test Wafer Management

Monitors and maintains test wafer inventory

Focuses on other process area test wafer requests and needs

Address test wafer related issues and escalates concerns as needed

Prioritizes test wafer lots if recycle tools go down


Demonstrate Benchmark Culture

Support On the Job Training (OJT) to team members as needed

Provide support for other area requests

Volunteers for overtime requests from other shifts

Support engineering requests

Drive Improvements and Enhancements

Provides feedback to appropriate personnel on the performance of the tools or processes

Makes recommendation about tool or workstation efficiency improvements

Makes changes or recommendations to procedures that are unclear or out of date

Identifies defects and suggests enhancements for area improvements


Communication Skills

Interacts and openly communicates with all levels of personnel

Shares valuable information with the team that’s related to area changes and procedure updates

Communicates issues to the appropriate personnel and provides ideas for resolution

Displays professional and effective communication in both written and verbal forms

High level of customer service skills.


Drive Improvements and Enhancements

Provides feedback to engineering on issues impacting efficiency and/or quality.

Recommends tool/workstation efficiency improvements.

Ensures new procedures are clear and functional.

Communicates MT related issues to production and Engineering.

Ability to operate with limited supervision.

High level of attention to detail.

Critical thinking and decision making skills.


Expedite Priority Lots 

Monitor line performance of key priority lots

Manage priority lots list

Completing PC requests

Provide forecast of lot arrival to process areas

Review future holds, assess potential problems, and notify appropriate personnel of any issues that need action

Use tools, reports and applications to analyze and react to data. This includes, but is not limited to Data Navigator reports, Patrol, ToolView, ETI, Micron Central, etc.

Escalate situations through proper channels to achieve results

Understand common issues that affect priority lot movement
