    Job Summary

    Job Summary:

    The Reception Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of all the receptionists at the New York City location the implementation of policies, procedures at the main location and all satellite locations

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manages the daily operations of the conference reception area for the Conference Center 
    • Manage all associates who work in the Reception Area for the Conference Center
    • Manage the day to day operations working with security and assuring the smaller reception desks are consistent.
    • The Reception Manager will be responsible for the elevation of the current reception service to a superior level; across the region NY, NJ, CT, TN and IL. 
    • Confers with customers and team members in all phases of their meeting/conference to ensure complete customer satisfaction
    • Maintain guest satisfaction, ensuring all service standards and policies are achieved
    • Handling guest contact difficulties by listening to concerns, offering solution and ensuring proper adjustments to procedures
    • Scheduling attendance and payroll for the reception team
    • Implementation of new policies and procedures
    • Facilitates training courses for staff
    • Conducts corrective communications in order to address any service gaps
    • Holds regular team meetings and records outcomes
    • Conducts interviews and hiring duties as needed
    • Participates in management initiatives and works closely with the Director Team
    • Ensures all security rules for visitor processing and admittance are adhered to
    • Effectively communicate information for events to Conference Services, AV, Catering, Facilities and Security
    • Provides reports and statistics as needed
    • Meets with clients and provides guidance for optimal events
    • Reviews charges for accuracy
    • Monitors and orders Visitor labeling printing supplies
    • Reviews Visitor Processing and Meeting Room software for accurate data

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in Hospitality or other business related qualifications
    • Management experience in a hotel setting
    • Experience managing pre arrival, post visitor experience
    • Liaise with key client contacts and other vendors to ensure a seamless service experience
    • Strong Microsoft Office Skills: Word, Excel and Outlook
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to lead, manage and inspire staff
    • Ability to prioritize and delegate work load ensuring deadlines are met
    • Has foresight to pin point and address any potential issues
    • Exudes teamwork and hospitality
    • Capable of adapting to business changes
