Responsible for all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, and closing in order to ensure successful completion of the project. Provides oversight and leadership of assigned projects. Coordinates project through a multi-disciplinary team approach. Utilizes independent and  interdependent interventions to achieve and maintain optimal patient outcomes through centered/patient valued care.



- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a health related field.



- Must have 3 years of experience in project coordination, and 3 years of experience working with            HIV positive and minority populations.


Equivalent Education and/or Experience

-    May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for the experience requirements.

Skills or Special Abilities:

- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.           

- Must have excellent leadership skills, with the ability to build effective team relationships.           

- Must be highly organized, with a high level of attention to detail.          

- Must have Personal Computer skills.            

- Must be able to demonstrate skill using Microsoft Office Word and Excel software.            

- Must demonstrate good time management, budget, and personnel management ability in a grant                                   

  funded environment.            

- Must have knowledge of community resources and services of benefit to target population.            

- Must demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behaviors.           

- Must be able to perform consistently and positively in a high stress environment.





1. Maintains and implements knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines, and ensures the hospital and Parkland are in compliance.  Seeks advice and guidance by following the chain of command when necessary. Develops effective internal controls that promote adherence to applicable state/federal laws and the program requirements of the project.   


2. Participates in information exchanges with other Parkland staff that support the standards, missions,      goals and objectives of the assigned program. Completes accurate data extraction. Generates unique reports and data collection to support the missions and objectives of ETAP and the project.  


3. Performs data extraction for assigned registry or database. Identifies ways to improve work process      and improve patient and customer satisfaction. Makes recommendations to supervisor and implements and monitors results as appropriate in support of the overall goals and mission of the assigned program. 


4. Abstracts and analyzes data for assigned program, coordinates action plans based on analysis of data and leads performance improvement initiatives to improve performance within the assigned     program.  


5. Participates in development and implementation of new protocols, policies and procedures specific      to the project and which support the standards, goals and objectives of the assigned project. 


6. Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the field of HIV by attending seminars/workshops and reading professional journals. Integrates knowledge gained into current work practices.   


7. Plans project meetings, ensuring meeting communications, agendas, minutes, and other handouts are prepared as needed.


8. Plans and coordinates activities with staff members as needed.
