Wet Process Engineer (PERM)

As a first shift Wet Process Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you are expected to be a Wet Process expert to maximize fabrication output, improve product quality, setup/optimize process control strategies, address Product Yield and inline defectivity issues, conduct cost projects and reduce product cycle times.

 

You will work closely with process integration (PI), product quality assurance (PQA) group and real time defect analysis (RDA), and other process areas to optimize process flow for best product performance at lowest cost.  You will also work closely with the production team to increase fabrication outputs and reduce product cycle times. 

 

You will be responsible for initiating and championing quality, yield, and defect reduction improvement projects within the Wet Process organization. You will work with the team to identify sources/causes of variation in processes, yields and defectivity in the area, and drive activities to reduce or eliminate them. You will work with the team to complete benchmarking studies, perform data analysis and consistently strive for improvement as we work towards being a quality fab.

 

You will represent the area in technical meetings, Quality meetings, PI module meetings, focus teams, VIXx/defect reduction, etc. You will drive to conclusion complex, cross functional tasks and team projects requiring a wide variety of advanced technical skills and analysis capabilities. You will collaborate with sister sites to identify product matching and process alignment issues during all phases of product life and drive for solutions, including thinking strategically as needed to address longer term issues which will affect site or worldwide process teams.

 

 Minimum Qualifications:

 

Knowledge in using optical metrology

Knowledge using Wet Chemical filters

Knowledge of Wet Process fundamentals

Knowledge of Wet Process equipment or experience in trouble shooting Wet etch issues caused by equipment failures

Knowledge of Wet Process Chemicals and what the purposes of different Wet Process Chemicals during Semiconductor manufacturing process

Knowledge of material properties

Knowledge of surface characterization techniques

Knowledge in semiconductor manufacturing

Knowledge in data collection and experiment execution

Knowledge in Statistical Process Control

Knowledge in Semiconductor product yield analysis

Knowledge in Semiconductor product defect reduction

Must be willing to work evenings or weekends, if necessary.

Hours of work:            Usually 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday- also must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary

 

Degree Required:                  MS or equivalent foreign education

Academic Discipline(s):        Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering; or Materials Science or Chemistry

Experience Required:           None

Academic Discipline(s):        Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering; or Materials Science or Chemistry

Experience Required:           Five years of progressive post-graduate experience
