WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Radiation is a common treatment option for those with cancer. Our Manager of Radiation Therapy makes sure everyone is following procedures to provide the most accurate and best possible patient care. WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Plan, organize and direct the day-to-day operations of the radiation therapy service.
  • Manage clinical operations, administrative functions, quality management, regulatory affairs, continuing education, and budget management.
  • Assure that schedules and staffing are in place to enable the efficient and timely delivery of quality treatments while taking into consideration quality assurance and radiation safety.
  • Develop, implement and maintain quality dashboards, quality improvement, and policies and procedures; and prepare, implement and monitor the department strategic plan, goals and performance targets. 
  • Supervise direct reports and manage the performance of individuals through ongoing coaching, feedback and development to motivate, engage and drive a high performing team.
  • Ensure all departmental and therapeutic services are in accordance with all regulatory standards.
  • Assist with developing departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan of the cancer service line.
  • Create and monitor patient satisfaction program.
  • Collaborate with physics team to support treatment planning, equipment performance, and radiation safety.
  • Direct patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.

WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED

  • Maintain knowledge of federal, state and regulatory standards specific to the Breast Care Center.
  • Maintain proficiency in clinical knowledge and skills as necessary to act as a resource person as related to clinical area.
  • Critically evaluate and analyze information in written materials.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Supervisory and team leadership skills, including coaching, engaging and developing employees.
