We are currently looking for a  dynamic multi-faceted Procurement Technology Systems Manager, to work within our strategic sourcing team, to lead and define the delivery of S2P system requirements, evaluation and implementation.  Being responsible for both the strategy and the implementation, this manager needs to have a proficient understanding of end to end S2P systems, requirements and challenges. 

Job Description

  • Define overall, and category specific, S2P (source-to-pay) system requirements
  • Evaluate existing systems, streamline as needed (stop/transition/continue)
  • Ensure procurement systems are implemented with excellence, and meet user requirements (current & future systems)
  • Lead S2P implementations to automate P2P (procure-to-pay), enable eSourcing, and improve compliance/governance
    • Interface with functional leads and budget owners to define system functionalities and manage change
    • Develop related business cases and change management programs
  • Enable category management through improved visibility and analytical tools
  • Enable Sobeys’ cost/margin agenda by creating the procurement system infrastructure and by controlling rogue spend
    • Develop roadmap to update procurement system infrastructure
    • Develop and prioritize use cases
  • Manage cross functional teams
    • Work with 3rd party providers in building system functionalities
    • Accountable for systems implementation, user training and change management



Job Requirements

  • Must have experience developing, defining and implementing end-to-end S2P (source to pay) processes and systems (IE. Ariba)
  • Must be able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Must have 3-5 years of relevant business experience in a purchasing, merchandising environment or retail environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively or independently in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to build meaningful team relationships to drive results
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle time-sensitive, service oriented functions
  • Bachelors Degree required
