SAIC has a requirement for a Project Manager at Fort Detrick, Maryland to provided support for the U.S. Information Systems Engineering Command for the Defense Health Agency (DHA) LAN / WLAN upgrade project.

The Project Manager will manage a large, complex task order responsible for oversight of Survey, Design and Implementation teams and working with the Contracting Officer (KO), the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), Technical Monitor (TM) and other Government representatives. Under the guidance of the TEIS III Program Manager, responsible for management of specific task order deliverables and for insuring that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner. Performs enterprise wide horizontal and vertical integration planning and interfaces with other functional and business areas. Candidate will support full oversight and program execution plans for task leads on the task order. Work will support the LAN/WLAN upgrade of DoD Medical Treatment Facilities across the U.S.

Highlights of Responsibilities:

- Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
- Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules or plans as required.
- Prepares project reports for management, customer, or other key stakeholders.
- Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
- Responsible for overall quality and management of major projects or programs.
- Recognize and solve potential problems and evaluate project/program effectiveness.
- May also coordinate project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.



- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in either: electrical engineering, computer science, or Information Technology from an accredited institution with 10+ years of experience in a senior leadership position.
- Requires a broad range of skills within a professional discipline to effectively perform complex assignments; demands familiarity with principles, theories, concepts and technologies as well as applied knowledge of established procedures, policies and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing complex projects that are strategic in nature and national in scope.
- Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget.
- Superior communication, interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence etc.) and presentation skills.
- Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
- Travel: Up to 20% within the U.S.
