ADF Rehabilitation Consultant – Bendigo Advertiser

Description

Acumen Health (part of the APM Group) delivers high‑standard bodily injury and occupational health services, with a focus on recovery and function to get clients back to work and life. The only rehabilitation provider for Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel, the role supports military members in achieving readiness and protection for Australia. The position involves work across ADF and Defence Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) portfolios, mainly at Singleton Army Barracks, with flexibility to work from the Acumen office, client sites or remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of assessments depending on clinical expertise (functional capacity, workplace, ergonomic, activities of daily living).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including injured employees, medical specialists and other treatment providers.
  • Support the journey from rehabilitation to healing within a multidisciplinary team.

What Will Make You Successful

  • Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA, ESSA (as an EP), ASORC or AASW.
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Osteopathy, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Psychology or Social Work.
  • Clinical reasoning and ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Passion to help people rehabilitate.
  • Experience in occupational rehabilitation highly regarded.
  • 12+ months of registered work experience in chosen profession.

Employment

Full‑time (or part‑time from 3 days) in a hybrid model.
