You’ll lead our flagship Brisbane plant manufacturing our Slurryflex, Abrasiguard & Defender product lines. The Brisbane plant was established 11 years ago and now has over 5500 m² under roof and a team of over 60.

The Role
This is a full‑site leadership role – combining operational control, technical problem‑solving, strategic improvement, and people leadership.
What you’ll own
- Site leadership – full site ownership including site P&L.
- Production – drive the daily discipline of delivering on safety, quality, production & cost.
- Pre‑production engineering – streamline the pre‑production engineering workflow and improve design‑for‑manufacture.
- Continuous improvement – train the team and drive a site‑wide culture of continuous improvement.
- Capital projects – scope, deliver, and commission new equipment and layout upgrades.
- Team – recruit, develop, and empower high‑performing leaders and crews.
You will also be executing a pipeline of improvement projects – including bringing new processes in‑house, re‑arranging workshop layout, workshop facility upgrades, commissioning new equipment, upgrading quality (QA/QC), new tooling design & manufacture (3D printing & machining), and transfer of manufacturing of a new product (Defender pinch valve). You will report into our executive leader responsible for all operations.
Who you are
We’re looking for a hands‑on, disciplined manufacturing leader who takes full ownership, drives standards, and brings structure and accountability to every part of the plant.
Experience
- Discrete manufacturing background – not continuous or batch process.
- Manufacturing a company's own engineered product range – ideally.
- Manufacturing products that are customised‑to‑order / built‑to‑order – ideally.
