About The Role

  • Be the go-to person for handling calls and patient information requests, providing friendly and professional service in line with NSW Health policies.
  • Keep patient records accurate and up-to-date by entering data, fixing discrepancies, and undertaking transactions in Patient Administration Systems e.g. COREPAS, MEDIWEB, CHIME.
  • Support doctors, nurses, clinical teams and ward administration by processing notifications, updating patient information, rectifying data discrepancies and merging duplicate records.
  • Ensure compliance and data integrity by carrying out audits, generating reports, and following strict privacy and confidentiality standards.
  • Help improve systems by training staff on COREPAS, assisting with new technology rollouts, and embracing digital health innovations.

About You

  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with the ability to confidently interact with patients, clinicians, and multi-disciplinary teams in a professional and compassionate manner.
  • Experience in healthcare administration, ideally within a hospital or Health Information Services environment, with demonstrated knowledge and use of Patient Administration Systems.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, capable of working independently, prioritising tasks under pressure, and maintaining high attention to detail while meeting deadlines.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to quickly adapt to new digital health systems.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and compliance, with a solid understanding of privacy principles and medico-legal requirements in a health setting.
