About the opportunity
Support the A2PE Inland Rail delivery team in the assessment, design, procurement and delivery of project works connected to air quality, noise and vibration mitigations and overhead service infringements over the existing rail corridor between Albury and Parkes in central NSW in order to meet our goal of being ready for double stack operations in 2027. Scope of works includes coordinating internally with the Inland Rail project and program teams as well as externally with ARTC, third party asset owners, consultants and contractors linked to the works.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and coordinate design requirements linked to the works including assisting with waivers and optioneering of the technical requirements.
- Actively facilitating the safe and compliant delivery of the project works.
- Prioritise project delivery schedule targets and ensure that planning requirements are met.
- Monitor and report on consultant and contractor performance against the operational readiness, quality, safety and environmental objectives.
- Coordinate across the delivery team and broader Inland Rail project team to ensure a consistent, compliant and strategic approach to delivery planning and documentation.
- Assist with the administration, engagement and compliance with third party agreements with key project stakeholders such as state, local government agencies and utilities authorities.
- Assist with the establishment and administration of property and access agreements.
- Monitor various consultants and contractors involved in the project and the overall Inland Rail Programme.
- Assist the consultant and contractor in the development, coordination, compliance and review of works and documentation to ensure safety and quality expectations are achieved.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation, correspondence and submissions to gain approvals, both internally and externally, at various management delegations.
- Assist in the administration of contracts including assessment and estimating tasks, validation of claims and finalisation of contract documentation.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will be solutions focused, methodical and a strategic thinker, collaborative, adaptable and be able to influence positive outcomes for the project. You will need to demonstrate great communication and presentation skills as this role is pivotal in collaboration with various key internal and external stakeholders.
Additionally, you should be able to demonstrate:
- Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in brownfield rail, utilities or road projects will be highly regarded.
- Previous experience working with third party agreements, deeds, licences.
- Previous experience administering agreements that interface with state, local government and utilities authorities will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrable ability to work in an organised well-ordered manner.
- Highly developed communication and presentation skills.
- Highly developed problem resolution and interpersonal skills.
- Sound knowledge of contractor management practices.
- Experience in operational readiness and completions processes linked to commissioning.
- Experience working to ARTC, Essential Energy and Australian Standards and Specifications.
