Material Handler - Tech Support

GENERAL RESPONISIBILITIES: 

50 % Material Handler Job duties that consists: of:

  • Perform basic warehouse transactions
  • Ability to follow work instructions
  • Ability to operate a stand up and sit down forklift, reach truck, picker, and tugger.
  • Ability to use a warehouse management system and associated tools (WM Warehouse, SAP, RF device)
  • Basic reading, writing, communication, and comprehension skills
  • Ability to achieve and maintain a forklift license
  • Strong mathematical and time-keeping skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships and adabtable to different personalities
  • Willingness to remain flexible in work schedules to meet deadlines
  • Perform housekeeping and 5S to keep the department clean, safe, and well organized
  • Must operate at standard productivity rate
  • Actively involved in working in a team environment

50% IT troubleshooting Job duties that consists of:

  • Manage and maintain all local IT assets within database or tracking program
  • The equipment responsible for includes but limited to: PC’s, laptops, peripheral accessories, laser printers, Zebra printers, mobile RF devices, mobile belt printers, radios, barcode scanners, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed to keep in good working condition
  • Send equipment with service agreements out for repair as needed
  • Reimage and configure settings on devices
  • Create incident tickets for issues and act as a point of contact
  • Conduct weekly and monthly audits on equipment
  • Develop and perform a preventative maintenance plan on all nessecary equipment
  • Create or replace warehouse signage as needed
  • Participate and support projects given by management
  • Fill in for absentees in the operation
  • Identify opportunities for improvement
  • Other duties as determined by supervisor/management team.
  • Continuous improvement/5S.
  • % Of Job duties may vary from day to day

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma OR GED required.
  • 1-3 years experience for PC or hardware support
  • Inventory experience preferred
  • Entry level to intermediate SAP skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (specificly Excel and Access)
  • Trained to operate all forklift types (order picker, reach truck, sitdown, etc) preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended period of times
  • Ability to work in a non-climate control environments
