Financial Analyst Full - Time Mon. - Fri. (South) Job


The Accounts Receivable Analyst works closely with all levels of management with minimum supervision.  The workload is heavy in volume, advanced in complexity and major in regard to financial management.  Responsible for analyzing and recording the impact of complex and significant receivable issues for Methodist Health Systems' entities.  Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.



Education/Formal Training

Work Experience




BS or BBA degree with a major in accounting or finance.








Previous billing experience.




Comparable experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.




  • Knowledge of accounting and financial management, methods and procedures.
  • Skill or proficiency in utilizing spreadsheets and database management software.
  • Ability to understand and prepare complex materials.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with all levels of Associates and management.
  • Ability to organize multiple tasks and maintains control of own work flow.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, and develops and demonstrates leadership in project using analytical techniques for MHS Patient Financial Services.
  • Accounts Receivable Analysis:  Performs monthly variance of assigned departments and payers.
  • Special projects:  Performs analysis of projects and programs, both new and existing, utilizing appropriate financial techniques.
  • Performs managed care analysis for MLH entities.

  • Physical activities of this position may include: climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
  • Must have good balance and coordination.
  • The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently.
  • The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
  • The conditions to which the Associate will be subject in this position: The Associate is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions; job functions are typically performed under conditions such as those found in general office or administrative work.
