Commercial - Supply Chain Order Processing Department


Order Planner

(12-Month Contract Position)



Our Commercial – Supply Chain Order Processing Department is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Order Planner for a 12 month contract.



Overall Responsibilities:


Ensure new catalogues and order design changes are entered promptly and accurately in the current sales order handling systems.




  1. Qsys - Create orders in Qsys application
  2. Confirm that the product design exists; if not, initiate design inquiry.
  3. Validate, create or maintain current sales order handling codes for attributes
  4. Inform Team Leader of order handling program issues
  5. Identify and resolve any E-Order errors for account representatives
  6. Identify and enter appropriate metallurgical analysis and mill practices
  7. Enter, reference and maintain customer exception data
  8. Review, validate, modify, communicate & document metallurgical changes to internal users
  9. Create catalogues and approve all new requests.


Education & Accreditation:


  • Minimum Community College Diploma in Business or Metallurgy
  • 2-3 years of job-related experience would be an asset.




  1. Excellent communication and presentation skils are required.
  2. Excellent facilitation and problem-solving skills are required.
  3. Advanced personal computer, standard corporate software applications and applicable systems skills are required.


Hours of Work:


Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads.
