Machinist

The Machinist is a skilled and experienced machine set up position for CNC Horizontal and Vertical Milling machines.

 

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Set up various CNC Milling machines.
  • Maintain and aid in the operation of machining centers.
  • Mentor and train, as directed, shift personnel.
  • Meet production and quality targets established by the manager.
  • Operate machine centers as directed by the shift lead.

Work Experience:

History of working both independently and as part of a team. Detail oriented and displays the ability and desire to quickly learn new processes and procedures. Substantial background setting up and operating CNC Milling machines.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience setting up CNC Milling machines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally in English.
  • Read and understand prints, drawings, and sketches.
  • Able to use CMM as instructed and interpret outputs.
  • Ability to read and understand G code.
  • Consistently set up any part as directed within the proscribed time.
  • First Pass yield greater than 90%.
  • Understand and follow all processes and procedures.
