Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatrics assignment requiring recent pediatric and travel experience, with active IA or compact RN license and multiple specialty certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a pediatric hospital unit
• Patient population consists of pediatric patients with varied acuity
• Patient ratio is 1 nurse to 3 patients
• Required to float to med/surg unit as needed
• Experience with Peds-Vapotherm required
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• Only 1 day of requested time off allowed between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26
• Returning employees may be subject to eligibility restrictions if employed by the client within the last 12 months
• Candidates must be prepared for a same-day interview process

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required
• At least 2 years of recent pediatric RN experience required
• Completion of at least 1 previous travel contract required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications from the AHA required
• Experience with Peds-Vapotherm and Epic EMR required
• Supervisory performance reference from within the last 2 years required
