Job Details:

• Work 5x8 hour shifts Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 7:30 PM

• Call required every 3rd week (Monday-Friday 5:00 PM to 7:30 AM, weekends and holidays 24 hours)

• 2 years of interventional radiology experience required

• Unit accepts first-time travelers only if they have extensive IR tech experience

• Required certifications: ARRT R, BLS, State License

• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations

• Perform interventional radiology procedures including aortography, chest tube placement, embolization, gastrostomy tube placement, IVC filter placement/removal, paracentesis, stent placement, thoracentesis

• Conduct special procedures such as catheter/drain exchange, nephrostomy, central venous access/port placement, fluoroscopy

• Maintain sterile technique and sterile field during procedures

• Equipment setup, prep access sites, maintain equipment, and stock supplies

• Use PACS system and Cerner/Merge PACS documentation systems

• Follow isolation precautions and utilize rapid response/code teams when necessary

• Scrubs provided by facility

• 24 hours of orientation provided

• Candidates within 75 miles are considered local with rate adjustment
