• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  
• Shift Schedule: MIDS: 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM (12-hour shifts)
  
• Call Requirement: 2 call shifts per 6-week period (13-hour call shifts; onsite within 1 hour if called in)
  
• Night Rotation: 2-week nights rotation required (3x12 hour shifts)
  
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,980 - $2,030
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience in an Emergency Room or Emergency Department
  
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  
• Active Illinois RN license in good standing
  
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
  
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
  

ER RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department, following nursing best practices and healthcare protocols
  
• Implement emergency care procedures and nursing theories
  
• Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans with providers, patients, and families
  
• Modify care plans based on ongoing evaluation and patient needs
  
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care and clinical interventions
  
• Promote patient and staff safety by identifying and addressing safety hazards
  
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and families
  
• Provide feedback to peers and participate in professional development and ongoing learning
  
• Fulfill departmental competencies and support a positive healthcare environment
