About the Company

Our client is a large, multi-site organisation with a significant Accounts Payable footprint spanning Perth, interstate and a large offshore processing team. With a recent systems uplift and growing operational demands, they are seeking an experienced AP Manager who comes from a high‑volume, complex AP environment. Perth central based with 2 days in the office and 3 days WFH. Interstate travel required a couple of times annually based on the companies needs.

About the Role

This role leads the end‑to‑end AP function across onshore and offshore teams. You’ll oversee high‑volume invoice processing, support ongoing system enhancements, strengthen controls processes, and uplift capability across a dispersed AP workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a large AP operation across Perth, interstate and an offshore team. Manage & mentor the AP team ensuring quality, consistency and strong team communication
  • Oversee high‑volume, complex invoice processing
  • Support ongoing process optimisation and system enhancements
  • Drive AP accuracy, controls, compliance and continuous improvement
  • Resolve complex AP issues and partner with key stakeholders across multiple departments
  • Report on AP performance, trends, risks and improvement initiatives
  • Interstate travel is required to maintain alignment, coach local teams, and build relationships.

About You

  • Strong experience leading Accounts Payable teams in a large, complex business
  • Comfortable managing onshore and offshore staff in a high‑volume environment
  • Exposure to ERP systems and process uplift
  • Exceptional communication skills; able to simplify complex information for stakeholders
  • Hands‑on leader with a practical, solutions‑focused approach
  • Confident in coaching, influencing and driving operational improvements
  • Must be willing to travel interstate occasionally
