Summary
Analyzes and responds in a self-directed manner to tenant requests for services to a broad variety of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, vinyling and heating/cooling functions. Performs preventative maintenance and completes records for the buildings main mechanical systems; air conditioning, plumbing, electrical systems. Performs safety checks; orders supplies and equipment as needed; performs related functions.

Summary

Minimum Education
- Four (4) years trade school with training and instruction in the following areas; plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, electronics, and general mechanical maintenance
- Six (6) years of general maintenance work experience in the areas of: plumbing, electrical, electronics, HVAC, painting, vinyling, and carpentry. OR
Required Skills/Knowledge
- Physical ability to be on feet most of the day.
- May require working in a reaching or strained position, pushing, pulling and lifting light to heavy weight objects.
- Ability to work well within a team environment: by accepting and offering honest and constructive feedback; by supporting team goals and encouraging other team members; and by collaborating with patient care team members to consolidate work, solve problems, create new methods and/or reduce costs.
- Ability to understand and carry out the vision of patient care at Summa; to create a patient care environment which is focused on the needs and expectations of the patient, our customer.
- Ability to be self-directed in executing responsibilities within a team structure.
- Exposure to dust, dirt, variable temperatures, and long hours (due to emergencies).
- Exposure to potential hazards from improper use of electrical, electronic, mechanical and power equipment, toxic chemicals and gases, etc.
- Population Specific Competency: ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.

$23.51/hr - $28.21/hr
The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
