Job Description

The Baler Operator is responsible for loading scrap into the shredder and tying bales when completed.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

    • Verify that the board is free of contamination and load scrap to be baled
    • Load large pieces of scrap into the chipper
    • Must wire tie bale and eject from baler
    • Keep area around the baler, conveyor and chipper clean
    • Practice and adhere to all safety rules as specified by the company and government regulations
    • Other functions related to or not related to this job classification as instructed by the Supervisor'


    • Strong understanding of Health & Safety Rules and Regulations;
    • Ability to prioritize many tasks and execute results, which will promote customer satisfaction;
    • Ability to deal with conflict, stress and time constraints in an efficient, professional, courteous manner;
    • Understanding of ISO.
