SUMMARY OF DUTIES:


The Director – IT (Procure to Pay) supports the suite of SAP products licensed by Amtrak, and is responsible for overseeing deployment and sustainment of requirements from the various business lines, as well as operational support analysis, resolution of incidents and application problems.

 

The SAP Director IT will need to have a range of skills and knowledge of the SAP technologies used and applications supported by Amtrak. This includes one or several SAP products, such as SAP Business Suite (ERP, SCM, SRM, CRM), Concur, Ariba/ Ariba Network and S4 HANA migration.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Partners with the Leadership Team in Business and IT and establish enterprise level procurement, material management and reporting process
  • Assess client needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to assist in identifying business priorities and advises on options.
  • Ensures technical, cost, and schedule rigor on all Procure to pay systems, projects and deliverables.
  • Ensures that the Procurement and Logistics systems performs in accordance with compliance and legal requirements associated with Safety, Security, Procurement, and the handling Amtrak assets.
  • SAP Solution Architecture, understanding business requirements and providing solutions within SAP eco-system and other 3rd party application
  • Provide factual content to feasibility study for development projects and enhancements requests.
  • Develop, write, and communicate business requirements for the implementation of business solutions.
  • Hands on configuration experience in one or more of the SAP applications, based on business requirements.
  • Provide production support activities through planned releases, break-fix resolution and emergency situations.
  • Monitor and analyze metrics to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Mentoring and development of other team members·       

 

 

        WORK EXPIERENCE:

 

  • Guru in Procure to Pay process and interfacing with other business areas such as HR, Finance and Maintenance teams
  • Minimum twelve (12) years of experience in Information Technology, including at least seven years in a Functional Analyst / solution architect role in the SAP solution(s) such as:
  • SAP Business Suite (ERP, SRM, SCM, CRM) , Ariba / Ariba Network , Concur , Enterprise Warehouse Management (eWM)
  • functional modules : Materials Management (MM) , Inventory Management (IM), Warehouse Management / eWM , Account Payable (AP), Ariba (P2P,CM,S2C,SLP,Buying&Invoicing,commerce automation & Catalog, Ariba network)
    • Discovery and migration to S4 HANA environment from ECC
  • Knowledge of change and release management processes.
  • Experience working in client-focused service delivery environments.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage contracts, budgets, and schedules
  • Managing COE for support and maintenance

 


         EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

 

  • MS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 
  • SAP technical certification in the product being supported.
