Sr. Data Architect

You’ll also develop strategies for the Data Warehouse and Master Data Management (MDM), as well as build data models and define the structure, attributes, and nomenclature of data elements. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Evaluate and document current environment; work closely with cross-functional teams to align data strategies
  • Analyze the systems to determine database structural requirements
  • Leverage predictive analysis and data visualization techniques using appropriate tools
  • Define database structure, capabilities, backup, recovery, and security specifications
  • Evaluate and install new releases of tools and technologies pertaining to data
  • Create governance around data and provide support to Master Data Management efforts
  • Create data/database solutions that meet company needs and can scale to demand

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field
  • 10 or more years of experience in data analysis
  • Strong thought leader and problem solver with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Windows applications and Microsoft Office Suite (MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Thorough knowledge of internal company software applications applicable to position/business unit

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Familiarity with Oracle and Microsoft technologies
  • Understanding and knowledge of the most widely-known and emerging tools, technologies, and social applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
