Have you been exposed to the ANZ Climate Change and Sustainability regimes such as NGER, NABERS, Climate Active, IPART, Safeguard Mechanism, TCFD, ISSB, SMETA, or ISO 14001?

Purpose of the role

  • Conduct on-site audits against standards such as ISO 14001, SMETA, ESG, GHG-related, and Sustainability reporting
  • Provide expertise, produce audit reports, and make recommendations for certification decisions
  • Promote BSI's products and solutions to clients to improve their business performance and manage risk
  • Support and contribute to the delivery of BSI’s sustainability services across Australia and New Zealand

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Lead and conduct sustainability and management system standard audits independently or in teams, following BSI requirements and Our Client Promise
  • Prepare audit reports and communicate findings to clients
  • Ensure clients understand audit decisions and provide clear corrective action guidance
  • Recommend issuing, re-issuing, or withdrawing certificates and verification statements, adhering to BSI policies and procedures
  • Develop effective partnerships to secure business relationships and foster opportunities for growth and client satisfaction
  • Provide accurate information to internal stakeholders and ensure client records are up to date
  • Plan and schedule workloads efficiently to maximize revenue
  • Coach colleagues and offer technical support as needed
  • Maintain and enhance auditor skills and knowledge of technical and management system standards
  • Act as a brand ambassador for BSI, promoting ethical behavior and BSI services
  • Support the development of BSI’s sustainability business through collaboration with the Head of Sustainability ANZ

Key Performance Indicators

  • Represent the BSI brand effectively
  • Book audits 3 to 6 months in advance, scheduling follow-up audits proactively
  • Produce high-quality, accurate client reports promptly
  • Complete client reports within 5 days post-audit or before leaving the site in 50% of cases
  • Identify and discuss business development opportunities with clients
  • Exceed audit delivery targets and maintain high productivity
  • Continuously develop auditing skills and qualifications
  • Be a proactive team member
  • Avoid client complaints
