The Forklift Operator is an essential member of the James Hardie Building Products Shipping team, responsible for driving loading semi-trucks and railcars in an efficient and accurate way. This role can be fast-paced with little down time and will keep you busy all shift. The Forklift Operator will become familiar with our products and safety culture. They will be responsible for properly stacking finished goods with no product and property damage and keep up with department housekeeping.

The best Forklift Operators are self-motivated and safety conscious. The most successful Forklift Operators embrace progressive thinking and are willing to work on multiple assignments throughout the shift while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Someone with a stable work history and the ability to demonstrate past successes related to a manufacturing or similar production environment. Two or more years in manufacturing or warehousing is a plus. The ideal candidate would have at least 1 year of experience driving Hyster 190 or 280 machines.  


As a 24/7 manufacturing facility of fiber cement building products, we ask that you be able to:

• Work required 8 hour shifts and be open to overtime when needed.
• Lift up to 50 pounds on a continuous basis.
• Walk, stand and/or sit for extended period of time.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Learn and be comfortable operating large forklifts and other heavy equipment.
• Work around bulk raw materials, moving equipment, high pressure water, varying temperatures and other environmental conditions related to cement board manufacturing.
• Use multiple types of personal protective equipment.
