About the Role

The Merch Analyst is responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing the seasonal merchandise product pages and databases for Pottery Barn eCommerce. They are a key subject matter expert on our Web Content Management System. The role is of critical importance to our brand because Merch Analsyts create and push live on site the pages from which we market and sell our product!

You're excited about this opportunity because you will...

* In our web content management system, own creating our Product Information Pages which will inform our customers about and sell our product
* Compile and input data to create and maintain seasonal eCommerce product information pages and databases
* Coordinate with creative team in creation and maintenance of creative product databases
* Work closely with Site Management and Website Merchandising team to ensure correct site layout
* Interface with inventory management and merchandising teams to ensure site data integrity and correct product set-up
* Create and maintain change forms to ensure database consistency working closely with Creative team
* Interface with site managers, project management and e-technology team for timely database uploads, site deployments, and reporting of issues
* Manage database uploads to all environments (merchant preview, dev, QA testing, and production)
* Review site content for product data integrity
* Coordinate and participate in weekly site testing in order to ensure correct data integrity
* Coordinate the archiving of Website seasonal features, functionality, and products
* Other projects as assigned, such as publishing, SEO keyword articles, e-catalog product tagging, product attributing for facets/fileters, dynamic personalization set up and testing

* You have at least 1 year eCommerce or similar web content management experience
* You have strong computer skills, including web content management systems, advanced Microsoft Excel, Google docs, other word processing applications, and other database applications
* You are well-organized, detail-oriented, accurate, deadline driven and process oriented
* You are able to anticipate/elevate problems, make timely decisions and provide creative solutions
* You must be comfortable to work / perform in a high-pressure environment with a fast pace. You can stay focused and work effectively in an ever-changing environment with last minute changes.

* Retail experience and basic business knowledge are helpful
* Work outside standard business hours occasionally needed

* You have strong communication skills - able to simplify and explain highly technical concepts to non-technical partners
* You have strong interpersonal skills -- a team player with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple functional partners, keeping relationships positive and productive and projects on time and accurate
