Infrastructure Engineer

Position Responsibilities\Requirements:
We have built a world-class reputation as one of the major financial technology firms providing solutions across multiple functions in the Capital Markets space. Our Hosted products business is the back-bone to our technology framework in assuring all our core products service the needs of our clients on a daily basis without any down-time.
We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our fast-growing infrastructure management team. The ideal candidate will have strong overall infrastructure experience, with extensive VMWare and virtualization skills. The core purpose of this role is to build and support the infrastructure supporting our Hosting and Managed Services business, which provides clients with outsourced IT, hardware and application management by leveraging our leadership in managed services and disaster recovery.
This role will involve some elements of third line application support to both our clients and in-house staff. The successful candidate will gain experience of a wide variety of up-to-date technologies whilst working to structured deployment processes at some of the world's leading data center facilities and large blue-chip organizations. This is a technical position where applicants must show initiative, and be able to problem-solve in an unsupervised environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide IT infrastructure monitoring and support for internal and external clients; setting up IT environments, platforms, technologies and solutions to support the business.
  • Work with the Infrastructure architecture and Project manager teams to plan complex IT infrastructure deployments.
  • Planning configuration ready for installation.
  • Testing configured solutions.
  • Proactive Maintenance of the infrastructure systems
Key Skills:
  • Proven experience performing systems engineering and administration with large scale systems.
  • Experience with SAN storage (3PAR, Equallogic).
  • Strong HP Blade Chassis c7000 and Virtual Connect Manager skills.
  • Experience with Netscaler's.
  • Virtualization skills, preferably VCP qualified.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Web Technologies.
  • Strong analytical troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong understanding of SSL, Internet (SMTP, DHCP, DNS) and other networking protocols.
  • Experience with administration Windows server 2008/2012, clusters, and replication.
  • Experience with deploying, troubleshooting, and supporting multi-tier applications.
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills, paying strong attention to detail.
  • Professional and responsible attitude with the ability to work without supervision.
  • Proven experience working within SLA's and an ITIL v3 framework.
  • Experience with server hardware Dell and HP.
Desired:
  • Experience with systems management and monitoring products.
  • Experience with Juniper and/or Cisco Network devices, Firewall and VPN Configuration.
  • Experience with Windows server 2008/2012, clusters, and replication.
  • Experience VMWare and Virtualization skills.
