Commercial Sales Manager -Bay Area, CA


The Architectural & Design Sales Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing Cosentino product awareness, acceptance and sales to the contract design & commercial segments for both interior and exterior applications. The ADSM, will actively identify, pursue, and increase sales and brand loyalty by calling on architects, designers, fabricators, developers and related contractors while coordinating and collaborating with other Cosentino Sales Team.



  • Create short and long-term sales plans to penetrate architectural and design firms, developers, General Contractors, fabricators, corporate accounts, new property owners and services providers to gain specifications and sales of work surfaces, flooring, interior cladding and exterior facades
  • Develop new project opportunities through personal sales efforts and professional relationships with developers, General contractors, fabricators, architects, designers, building owners and property management firms involved with new development or renovation work for existing building interiors and exteriors
  • Promote organization's products in formal presentations to all commercial segments
  • Negotiate, close and execute contracts and agreements for materials and installation and service
  • Execute sales plans created within agreed upon timelines from the customer or Cosentino Management
  • Maintain accurate relationship, product placement & project details with updated developments within project management database (Sales Force, CRM)
  • Manage the sales development of Cosentino surfacing products with various interior and exterior applications within the core geography
  • Maintain a constant awareness of markets and pursue profitable opportunities focused on organizational growth
  • Actively represent and promote Cosentino to the community in the commercial construction industry by hosting and attending local chapter events for ASID, IIDA & AIA along with other targeted associations
  • Responsible for the timely management and communication across all parties to ensure successful sales implementation of programs including updating sales collateral, product technical data and information, samples, mock ups and proposals
  • Manage own sales budget and maintain discipline to stay within assigned sales and expense budgets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Assist with corporate account roll out programs on a regional basis as needed. This task may require travel outside of the assigned geography to call on owners, fabricators and installation contractors to facilitate and manage successful multi-location roll out programs. Advance notice will be given to employee regarding travel.
  • Commitment to continual learning and knowledge of Cosentino Surfacing Products, the proper application and specification requirements along with fabrication and installation process to ensure proper use and overall customer satisfaction
  • Act as a facilitator and provide recommendations to senior management with key sales information as it relates to markets and regions
  • Coordinate with Cosentino Account Managers, business partners, fabricators and installation contractors to ensure successful realization of local project execution
  • Coordinate and promote Cosentino surfacing products with Universities and Associations and develop relationships with leaders and students in the design industry
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with Architects and Designers
  • Responsible for updating libraries and conducting lunch and learns and educational seminars at Architect and Designer firms


Minimum High School diploma/GED, Bachelor's degree preferred


  • Microsoft Office – intermediate proficiency
  • Customer Relationship Management System (CRM)
  • Basic product knowledge as well as architectural and design language
  • Ability to interact with multiple levels within the design industry 
  • Ability to teach product knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and build value-based relationships with customers
  • Demonstrates time management skills (i.e., prioritization, timely follow-up with customer)
  • Ability to be creative and develop workshops for architect and designers that count as continued education credits
  • Must be highly motivated self-starter


Bay Area, CA


3-5 years in outside sales experience requiered. 

Driving company vehicle 100% of the time.

Commercial sales experience a plus.

Knowledge of flooring, facades and/or countertops a plus.

Must have a proven track record of closing deals and growing sales and profits within a sales industry.

Physical Activity: Occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs. (Sample Boxes).
