About the role

Humanitix is on the hunt for an experienced bookkeeper to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements for its Australian and New Zealand operations using Xero, and work on specific tasks with our US finance team using QBO, with a desire to grow in your role and contribute to all areas of our team.

Note this is an onsite / hybrid role with a requirement to work from our offices at The Rocks, Sydney minimum 3 days a week.

What you’ll do:

Accounts receivable and payable

Office expense management and receipts reconciliation

Record and reconcile all financial transactions

End of Month/Quarter/Financial Year processes, including the reconciliation between the ticketing platform and accounting software

Assist with the preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS, PAYG, Superannuation etc.

Assist with Monthly Payroll for staff in Australia & NZ, including monitoring leave, expense claims and salary packaging

Administrative support to the Finance Operations Manager

Scope for growth

Skills we are looking for

Reconciliation skills with a keen eye for detail and a desire to probe further into data

Sound knowledge of accounting principles

Proficiency in Xero, Microsoft Office, and Excel, and understanding of QBO preferred

Cert IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping preferred

Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely from our Sydney office in liaison with the US team and manage tasks independently

Process-driven with excellent attention to detail

Confidence in application and the ability to anticipate needs and show initiative

Great communication skills and a fantastic can-do attitude!
