This local council are seeking an experienced IDAM (Identity and Access Management) Engineer to support and enhance their identity services, focusing on Azure Entra ID. You will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing identity and access controls to ensure secure, seamless user experiences across their environment

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support Azure Entra ID identity services, including user lifecycle management, authentication, conditional access, and identity protection.
• Integrate IdAM with cloud and on-premise systems (Azure AD, Windows Server, Exchange Online)
• Assist with migrations and integrations from on-premises AD to Azure Entra ID, ensuring a secure hybrid identity posture
• Develop and maintain IDAM policies, procedures, and documentation, aligned with security best practices and compliance requirements
• Collaborate across IT, security, and business units to ensure seamless identity management
• Stay up to date with Microsoft Entra updates and evolving identity security trends, providing recommendations for continuous improvement
  
  

Skills And Experience

• Proven experience as an IDAM Engineer or in a similar identity-focused role
• Familiar with Microsoft infrastructure (Windows Server, Azure AD, VMWare)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator, or Security certifications.
• Knowledge of Identity lifecycle management tools and processes
