They are seeking a design manager to join the business to help support with continuous growth and recent project wins.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Head of Design you will be responsible for managing design consultants and the client throughout the bid process and the construction delivery process.Manage and oversee the pre-construction design activities across multiple construction projectsCollaborate with clients, project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure the project will run timely and cost-effectiveReview project specifications and contracts to identify design requirements and constraintsAdvise on project design schedules and budgetsEnsure compliance with project specifications, contracts, and applicable regulationsAdvise on buildability and methodologyMonitor project progress and update senior management on key milestones and potential issuesIdentify and resolve design-related issues and escalate issues to senior management as neededEnsure that project design records and documents are accurate and up-to-dateProvide regular updates to senior management on project design status, including potential risks and opportunitiesManage the design process, including design development, design review, and design approvalAbout YouYou will ideally have worked at a commercial builder working in a Design Manager, Project Engineer/ Design Coordinator role. You ideally have worked on projects in the pre-construction and project delivery phase.
