d'Albora Marinas, Australia's largest Marina Group, is offering an exciting opportunity to join the team as a full-time Forklift Operator/Boatyard Hand at Horizon Shores Marina.
The marina is located on the Northern end of the Gold Coast in the heartland of boating paradise. Facilities include a 70-tonne marine travel lift, 500 wet berths, 350 dry stack storage, and a full-service shipyard.
This is your chance to join an enthusiastic team in a fast-paced marine service environment with extensive training provided to advance your skills in yard operations and waterfront activities.
Reporting to the Boatyard & Dry Stacker Supervisor, your key tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Safe and efficient operation of boat forklift, travel lift, and associated equipment.
- Ensuring lifting, standing, and launching works are completed safely and timely.
- Working closely with team members for safe and efficient yard operations.
- Maintaining lifting equipment for optimal condition.
- Machinery, facility, and general maintenance.
- Participating in daily meetings with management to discuss activities and schedules.
- Providing excellent customer service to members and guests.
The ideal candidate would have:
- Australian Residency;
- QLD Boat licence (desired, not essential);
- Valid driver’s licence;
- Boating knowledge;
- Availability to work weekends;
- Exceptional interpersonal skills;
- Awareness of workplace safety, health, quality, and environmental standards.
