Our High Intensity SILS (Supported Independent Living) house is a safe and nurturing environment for individuals with significant health and support needs. We work collaboratively with families, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams to enable our residents to live fulfilling and independent lives.

About the Role

As an NDIS Support Worker, you will assist individuals with disabilities to live independently and achieve their personal goals. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing personal care and daily living assistance
  • Supporting clients in social and community participation
  • Assisting with household tasks and meal preparation
  • Providing transport for appointments and activities
  • Encouraging and promoting independence and choice

Working Hours

GCLA operates 24/7 services, meaning shifts are available across public holidays, weekends, overnight, evenings, and mornings. Applicants must be available to work flexibly across these hours as needed.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and motivated individuals who are committed to person-centred support.

  • A genuine passion for helping others
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care, or equivalent
  • Experience in disability or aged care (or willingness to learn)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain)
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card) (or ability to obtain)
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
  • Experience with high-complexity support needs
  • Medication Administration training
  • Manual Handling training
