Spanish Teacher

Roxbury Central School is accepting applications for: Roxbury CSD seeks a Spanish-speaking individual who would like to teach beginning Spanish. Certification is preferred but not required if willing to work towards certification. FT position with benefits starts at $51,494, commensurate with experience. The Spanish Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction in the Spanish language to students at various proficiency levels. This role involves creating lesson plans that promote listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills while fostering an appreciation for Spanish-speaking cultures. The teacher designs and implements curriculum aligned with state standards, uses a variety of instructional strategies and assessments, and creates a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and language acquisition. Additional responsibilities include monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate records, communicating with parents and colleagues, and participating in school-wide events and professional development. The Spanish Teacher may also sponsor cultural activities or language clubs to enrich the student experience. Strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and a passion for teaching languages are essential.
