We are currently looking for an energetic "people person" to lead a team of 5 direct reports, taking responsibility for all aspects of daily running of our builder's equipment hire branch in Fairfield.

5 day work week

No out of hours responsibility

Therole:

Reporting directly to senior management, the Branch Manager is ultimately responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our customers while overseeing the safe and profitable day-to-day operations of the branch.

Duties include:

Understanding and solving customer equipment requirements

Liaising with the workshop and other team members to ensure equipment is available

Coordinating transport (Hiredepot and third party) to deliver and collect equipment in a safe and timely manner

Administration of hire contracts

Recommending and implementing company policies and procedures

Direct supervision and mentoring of your 5-member team

This is a full time salary position 5 days per week.

Skills/Experience:

Management experience is essential. Our ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of tools and machinery as well as a background managing staff and customers in logistics or warehousing industry.

Requirements:

Proven people management (customers and staff)

Highly developed verbal and written communication skills

Ability to multi-task

Demonstrated clerical and administration ability

Current driver's licence with a good record

Proven customer service and dispute resolution (preferred)

Basic mechanical knowledge (preferred)

A forklift licence, electrical test and tag certificate and first aid certificate will be sponsored for the right applicant.

Hours:

Hours are Monday to Friday 6.45am – 5.15pm or until required

Occasional Saturdays 7.15am -1.15pm or until required in return for another day off in lieu.
