Eurofins Environment Testing Australia
This network of fully accredited laboratories employs over 300 staff across Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, with Client Service Offices in Adelaide, Darwin, Newcastle, and Wollongong. Field sampling services are operated out of Melbourne and Sydney. The company specializes in environmental analysis, including contaminated soil, sludge, sediments, leachate, soil vapour, trade waste effluents, sewage effluents, stack emissions, workplace and ambient air, dust, drinking water, surface runoff, river and stream monitoring, seawater, and groundwater.
Job Description
- Full-time position based in Brisbane, QLD
- Shift times available: Monday - Friday, 9 am– 5 pm or 2 pm - 10 pm
- Additional 1.5% superannuation paid on top of the pay rate
Reporting to the team leader, the Sample Receipt Officer is responsible for managing the sample receipt area and performing related duties.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Sample receipt and login, including storage upon arrival and registration in LIMS
- Sample management and maintaining good housekeeping practices
- Checking registration against the Chain of Custody (COC) and laying out samples
- Sending split samples overseas
- Monitoring temperature charts according to Eurofins protocols
- Handling biosecurity samples as per protocols
- Liaising with clients to ensure contract requirements are met
- Performing other duties as directed
- Contract review activities
