What a typical day will look like
As a Restructuring & Insolvency Graduate, you will focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial, and capital needs by addressing a range of economic and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies, and other stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working on the trade-on and sale of distressed entities
- Helping prepare for and attending creditors' meetings
- Assisting with investigations into company failures and compiling reports to ASIC and creditors
- Liaising with stakeholders including regulatory bodies, suppliers, customers, and lenders
- Conducting financial modelling for reports such as financial due diligence and business reviews
- Optimising working capital to release additional cash
- Supporting business transformation strategies, including process and reporting improvements

What will help you succeed as our Graduate
- Degree in Accounting or Finance, with an interest in obtaining a CA qualification
- Soft skills such as empathy and respect to understand client needs and collaborate effectively
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Good lateral thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Relevant work or internship experience
- Willingness to travel to client and FTI offices
- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
