What a typical day will look like

As a Restructuring & Insolvency Graduate, you will focus on our clients’ strategic, operational, financial, and capital needs by addressing a range of economic and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies, and other stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Working on the trade-on and sale of distressed entities
  2. Helping prepare for and attending creditors' meetings
  3. Assisting with investigations into company failures and compiling reports to ASIC and creditors
  4. Liaising with stakeholders including regulatory bodies, suppliers, customers, and lenders
  5. Conducting financial modelling for reports such as financial due diligence and business reviews
  6. Optimising working capital to release additional cash
  7. Supporting business transformation strategies, including process and reporting improvements

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance, with an interest in obtaining a CA qualification
  • Soft skills such as empathy and respect to understand client needs and collaborate effectively
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Good lateral thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Relevant work or internship experience
  • Willingness to travel to client and FTI offices
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
