Business Development Manager - Asset Finance

Brokers associated with LMG operate under the Loan Market Brand or their own brand.

The Business Development Manager (BDM) supports the Group Executive in implementing the LMG Asset Finance strategy. This includes delivering asset finance expertise to brokers, driving platform and technology solutions, increasing lender support, and fostering growth opportunities for broker businesses across all group brands. The role also involves recruiting brokers with asset finance expertise or willingness to diversify their offerings.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement the LMG Asset Finance strategy
  • Enable brokers to diversify their businesses
  • Deliver education and professional development programs for staff and brokers
  • Recruit asset finance-focused brokers
  • Collaborate with Partnership Managers to identify brokers for coaching and development
  • Engage brokers to enhance their asset finance capabilities
  • Organize and facilitate training sessions
  • Promote Group-endorsed referral programs and support their execution
  • Support technology solutions related to Asset Finance
  • Engage with industry bodies like CAFBA
  • Maintain relationships with lender partners and stay informed about their solutions
  • Provide support and communication tailored to broker business owners regarding asset finance

Leadership and Management Skills:

  • Build trusted relationships with regulatory and stakeholder management skills
  • Engage brokers of varying experience levels in Asset Finance
  • Communicate effectively at strategic and operational levels
  • Collaborate with Partnership Managers to develop joint solutions

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in financial services, especially in relationship models and third-party distribution
  • Leadership and coaching abilities with strong business acumen
  • Proven presentation and facilitation skills
  • Experience across the value chain and in delivering business and cultural change

Qualifications & Certifications:

  • National Police Certificate (to be maintained)
  • Strong knowledge of Asset Finance
  • Ability to influence diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Resilience and adaptability to uncertainty
  • Collaborative and engaging personality
  • Challenging mindset and openness to challenge others
