Job Description
TikTok (USDS – U.S. Data Security)
Location: Sydney, NSW, Australia
Type: Full-Time | Hybrid (3 days in-office per week)
The USDS Resiliency Operations Center oversees incident and crisis management, business continuity, and disaster recovery for TikTok’s U.S. operations. This role sits at the intersection of security, privacy, and operations with a primary focus on incident response and data protection.
- Execute and enhance data protection incident response protocols
- Lead and participate in cross-functional triage, mitigation, and remediation efforts
- Communicate complex security issues in clear, digestible formats to stakeholders
- Escalate critical issues to crisis management when thresholds are met
- Maintain and improve incident response plans and documentation
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to manage risk and response
- Support readiness projects and process improvements across security operations
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Cybersecurity, Emergency Management, or Crisis Management
- 3+ years in incident response, crisis planning, or emergency operations
- Understanding of threat actors, digital forensics, and response tactics
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and influence skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and resolve problems quickly
- Experience in emergency operations, incident exercises, and program design
- Background in project management and leadership during high-profile incidents
- Familiarity with tech, media, or social platforms
- Experience working in or with U.S. national security frameworks or controls
Security Screening
