Are you passionate about hospitality and dedicated to enriching the lives of others? Anglicare is looking for a compassionate and dynamic Kitchen Hand to join our team. This is more than just a job – it's an opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of our residents by ensuring they receive top-notch service and care.

What You'll Do

• Create Joyful Dining Experiences: Ensure all residents are respected and treated with empathy and dignity, offering them choices to live their daily lives uniquely and in line with their wellbeing.
• Maintain High Food Standards: Prepare food adhering to Anglicare's requirements, checking temperature, texture, and presentation to meet residents' preferences.
• Optimize Team Performance: Keep your team safe and efficient by organizing rosters, arranging training, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring compliance with WHS standards.
• Ensure Excellence: Oversee kitchen, dining room, and storeroom compliance with all legislative requirements, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Deliver Exceptional Service: Lead your servery staff to perform at their best, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and creating a warm, respectful dining atmosphere.
• Enhance Resident Wellbeing: Monitor and report on residents' behavior and contribute to their care plans, aiming to deliver 'moments of joy' during mealtimes.
• Manage Food Orders: Work with the manager to analyze facility needs, order the right quantities, and liaise with local suppliers.
• Promote a Safety Culture: Keep the workplace safe and clean, comply with safety rules, report hazards, and actively participate in safety activities.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a servery/hospitality environment.
• Food Safety and Handling Certificate highly desirable
