Telecommunications Engineer

Join Vertical Scope Group’s (VSG) Professional Services Division in Canberra as we seek a driven, highly skilled, and competent Baseline and NV1 cleared, Telecommunications/Network Engineer to join our award-winning team supporting our Defence and Government customers. About you: Previous telecommunications experience. Experience with system design, terminology, and regulations. Hold a Baseline or NV1 clearance. Seeking a 6-month contract. About the role: The successful candidate will undertake technical assessments of applications from telecommunications carriers and carriage service providers seeking DREVs, considering legislative exemption criteria. They will also provide technical guidance and training to develop team capacity. Project management and administrative decisions will be handled by existing Department staff. Knowledge of telecommunications industry, systems, and technology. Ability to work independently and communicate clearly (verbally and in writing). Experience in telecommunications engineering or a similar role. Familiarity with telecommunications system design, terminology, and regulations. Expertise in cyber security and network engineering.
