About the role
We have various opportunities for Industrial and Heavy Industry Electricians to join our high-performing Maintenance teams at BSL (Boyne Smelter) Operations. Whether you're new or experienced, in any industry, we offer roles with interesting work and growth potential.
Your experience, career goals, and lifestyle preferences will guide you to join our Services Maintenance Team, Power Supply Team, or General Maintenance Team.

Services Scrubbing and Conveyors – 9-day fortnight
- Experience in planned maintenance, conveyors, PLC, Instrumentation, and plant equipment

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, your responsibilities may include:
- Maintaining and replacing electrical equipment
- Executing planned and unplanned breakdown maintenance
- Troubleshooting, calibrating, repairing, and servicing fixed plant electrical assets
- Working at heights
- Working autonomously, being reliable, and contributing positively to the team, maintaining assets safely and reliably
- Identifying and implementing improvement initiatives across disciplines
- Promoting and identifying HSE opportunities for improvement
- Executing scopes from SAP (CMMS)
What you’ll bring
- Commitment to safety
- Respect and inclusiveness
- Valid C Class driver’s license
- Australian 'A' grade Electrical license
- Instrumentation Certification (advantageous)
- Working at Heights/EWP certification
- Proven fault-finding and repair skills
- Experience in heavy/industrial maintenance

Work location
Boyne Smelters Limited, Australia's second-largest aluminium smelter, located near Gladstone, Queensland, with a workforce of 1,000. The site produces around 500,000 tonnes of aluminium annually and includes manufacturing, smelting, and casting operations.
