We are seeking an experienced Area Manager who can work hands-on with our Centre Directors. The role is based across South Australia, with regular travel throughout the state. Your base location is flexible, but you must be able to travel.
About the role
You will work directly with our Centre Directors to support quality educational programs and service provision. Communication will be in person, over the phone, and via Teams. You will play an integral role in ensuring our childcare centres meet and exceed their obligations under the National Quality Framework.
Key responsibilities
- Work closely with geographically dispersed Centre Directors to implement systems and operational processes for effective daily management.
- Mentor and guide centre leaders and staff to promote understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and delivery of engaging, creative, and environmentally friendly programs.
- Build and maintain open communication with staff, children, and families at each centre.
- Ensure centres operate according to company policies, legislative requirements, and the National Quality Framework.
- Maintain positive relationships with external agencies.
- Manage each centre’s budget within guidelines.
- Mentor staff to achieve professional goals and high performance.
- Manage reporting requirements efficiently.
- Identify opportunities for professional development and continuous improvement.
About you
- Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent approved by ACECQA.
- MUST have experience managing multiple childcare services simultaneously.
- MUST be willing to travel regularly, by driving or flying.
- Current first aid, asthma, and anaphylaxis certifications.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework.
- Ability to work independently and develop positive stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, leadership, and time management.
- Understanding of operational best practices and ability to influence and mentor a dispersed team.
