Design Engineer - Expression of Interest
Cascade (Australia) Pty Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the global Cascade Corporation. Our head office is in Portland, Oregon, USA. In Australia, we have a significant operation located at Darra in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane. We manufacture and supply a broad range of forks, attachments, and accessories to the Materials Handling, Construction, and Automated Equipment Market.

About the role
If you are a degree-qualified Design Engineer, this is a great opportunity to have meaningful input into exciting engineering projects.
- Develop, design, and test material handling equipment
- Perform engineering calculations and drafting for projects
- Use the latest design technology – 3D Modelling, FEA, Team Centre, Solid Edge
- Review and design hydraulic systems for attachments as required
- Prepare quality documents and reports
- Work safely with our skilled engineering team to solve problems and analyze product performance
About you
- At least 3+ years of experience
- Proficient in 3D modelling packages e.g., Solid Edge or similar
- Knowledge of FEA software (Ansys) and hydraulics is preferable
- Ability to gain knowledge of Australian Standards
- Ability to read and interpret machine drawings
- Understanding of fabrication processes including welding compliance
- Excellent research and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
