Offer Description

  • Fixed Term until December 31, 2025 | Part-Time at 0.6FTE
  • Position: Higher Education Officer Level 5 | $80,405 - $88,737 p.a.

The Research Assistant will support the research team in conducting high-quality studies, focusing on clinical registry projects. Responsibilities include engaging with clinical collaborators, assisting in electronic data collection, organization, analysis, and contributing to quality assurance. The role involves preparing regulatory documents such as ethics applications and data sharing agreements, and supporting the Chief Investigator in developing manuscripts, presentations, and grant proposals.

About FHMRI Eye & Vision

FHMRI Eye and Vision aims to improve outcomes for patients with blinding eye conditions. The focus is on the link between vision and health, a significant issue in Australia with an aging population. Approaches include basic biomedical science, applied research, clinical research, translational research, and health services management research.

About College of Medicine and Public Health

The college delivers clinical, population, and lab-based research, along with teaching programs and clinical services, from the Flinders Medical Centre to rural locations and Darwin. It aims to develop leaders and innovators to improve health outcomes.

About You

To succeed, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant STEMM field or equivalent experience/training
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, motivated to enhance teamwork
  • Organizational skills, ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage workload
  • Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and cultural sensitivity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, GraphPad, Endnote
