The role:
Reporting to a Director in Asset Management and working alongside a wider team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of a commercial asset based in Sydney CBD.
No two days are the same as a Facilities Manager in real estate. Your role involves building key tenant and client relationships and working closely with contractors to ensure smooth site operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for technical and maintenance advice, supporting your Property Manager and client
- Manage daily building operations and compliance matters
- Recommend improvements for maintenance and operational efficiency
- Ensure high-quality contractor performance
- Drive the asset’s sustainability performance
- Conduct regular inspections of the building, including common areas and plant rooms
- Develop and maintain Risk Management procedures compliant with regulations and client requirements

- Relevant experience in Commercial Facilities Management or trades background
- Trade qualification in electrical, mechanical engineering, or plumbing (desirable but not essential)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Financial aptitude, computer literacy, and problem-solving skills
- Stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of facilities management operations, industry best practices, building codes, and legislative requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage conflicting priorities
