We have employees around Australia, and projects around the world.Greenroom’s Software Engineers are responsible for engineering the Greenroom Platform which contains the building blocks of our robotics framework that cover areas such as control, communications and machine learning to name a few. This allows us to create fast, reliable and tested solutions that can operate in demanding real-world maritime conditions.General DutiesDuties will vary depending on project priorities, but the following duties are indicative of a Software Engineer:Develop quality software for existing products and platformsDevelop new technology to progress the Greenroom PlatformDeliver Greenroom products to customers (domestically and globally)Analyse and maintain existing software applicationsDesign scalable, testable codeDiscover and fix programming bugsRates and LocationBase Salary: Competitive, depending on the role and experience.Location: We are currently looking to fill roles in our Sydney office, however, - there is an opportunity to be based in our Perth office.Experience and QualificationsThe following is required:3+ years experience in software developmentBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Software EngineeringAn eagerness to learn and a desire to solve complex engineering problemsDesirable Experience - Mechatronics / Robotics:Robotics Operating System 2 (ROS2)C++PythonDDS (e.g. eProsima FastDDS/FastRTPS)DockerContinuous Integration (e.g. GitHub Actions, TravisCI, Gitlab CI)Working Hours and EnvironmentWe can be flexible and accommodating with location and working arrangements for the correct applicant.
