Ski Hire Technician - Jindabyne Winter 2025
Jindy Snow Ski Hire is now taking expressions of interest from experienced ski hire technicians for the 2025 winter ski season.
We are seeking:
- Experienced ski hire techs (workshop experience will be highly regarded).
- 1x supervisor with previous experience.
- People who love the snow and enjoy sharing that enthusiasm with others!
Responsibilities:
- The hiring of snow sports equipment including skis, snowboards, clothing, and snow chains.
- Fitting and serving customers accurately and efficiently in Jindabyne-based ski hire.
- Receiving returned rental items and performing routine maintenance on returned goods.
- Retail sales of snow sports accessories in support of rental duties.
- Restocking retail displays.
- Cash handling and processing of transactions using a POS system and EFTPOS terminal.
Requirements:
- Answering telephone inquiries.
- General retail housekeeping duties.
- Trading hours are 7 am - 7 pm, 7 days a week during the winter ski season.
- Previous ski hire experience is essential.
- Suitable for enthusiastic skiers and snowboarders.
- Own transport is essential as we are located 8km from the main township of Jindabyne (in East Jindabyne).
- Must possess current working rights; holiday working visa applicants are encouraged to apply.
General Retail Industry Award (2020) wages (starting at $32.06) including penalty rates and overtime.
Located in East Jindabyne with shifts available 7 days a week. We are looking for both part-timers (approx. 20 hours/week) and full-timers (up to 38 hours/week) for the season.
