The Company
BCI Minerals Limited (ASX:BCI) is an Australian owned mineral resources company with salt and potash as its initial focus. A future Tier One project, Mardie has been designed to produce 5.35Mtpa of high-purity salt and 140ktpa of Sulphate of Potash (SOP).
Using an inexhaustible seawater resource and 99% of the energy required produced by natural solar and wind energy, our Mardie project is a multi-generational sustainable opportunity that will supply the growing chemical, renewable energy, and agricultural industries with Salt and Sulphate of Potash for generations to come.

The Role
The Maintenance Fitter is responsible for the optimisation of the performance, availability, and safety of fixed plant assets, by liaising with the Process Team, Maintenance Planners, Supervisors and Superintendents. This is to prioritise mechanical maintenance activities including Preventative and Adhoc tasks to achieve maintenance targets and ensure statutory compliance and production continuity.
The successful candidate will liaise closely with the Supervisor Maintenance, and process team to prioritise maintenance activities to reduce the impact on production. You will assist in work planning, scheduling and resource allocation with a focus on the weekly maintenance plan, practice effective cost management and identify cost minimisation strategies. Additionally, you will ensure accurate input of daily maintenance statistics into the process plant reporting system to track downtime and safety and ensure all work carried out has been recorded in the mines book. This role will manage contractors on short- & long-term basis.
About You:
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 3 years post trade experience, preferably within the mining industry and on fixed plant.
- Mechanical Trade Qualification.
- Experience in Asset Management and Preventative Maintenance Schedules.
- Strong understanding and ability to use Maintenance Management Systems. i.e., Pronto
- Prevalent in use of computers and Microsoft suite. i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Teams & OneNote.
- Confined Space Entry competency.
- Working at Heights competency.
- Provide First Aid Training.
- Low Voltage Rescue Training.
- Forklift and/or Telehandler advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawings.
You must have current unrestricted working rights for Australia to be eligible for consideration.
