The Role
- Develop and design diverse and innovative menus tailored to various events and client preferences.
- Prepare and present dishes with consistency and excellence.
- Manage all aspects of the kitchen including stock and wastage control, production schedules, food costing analysis, budgeting, and staffing levels.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
- Positively lead, mentor, and manage culinary team to deliver a unique dining experience and signature offerings.
About You
In order to be successful in this role you will need:
- Experience as Head Chef leading a fast-paced, large scale, premium event kitchen.
- Min. 3 years Head Chef experience.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Qualifications / certificates in HACCP, local Food handling & Hygiene.
- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- The ability to thrive under pressure and multitask in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to foster a positive team culture.
- The flexibility to work throughout the entire week including weekends and public holidays.
